Georg Strecker has been Managing Director of the Wintergarten Varieté Berlin since 1998 and has played a key role in shaping the traditional venue on Potsdamer Straße. However, his career began in a different direction: he originally wanted to become a secondary school teacher for sports and English. However, an oversupply of teachers led him to the event industry – an area in which he has been successful for decades.
From tour management for international artists to production management for major projects such as the Chinese National Circus – Strecker has gained experience in various areas of the cultural and event industry. This broad knowledge makes him a strong networker who combines creativity, organisation and economic thinking.
Why talentsbridge?
Georg Strecker knows first-hand that talent alone is not enough – it needs structures and opportunities to develop. The shortage of skilled workers is particularly noticeable in the event industry, as creative and technical professions are equally affected. talentsbridge e.V. addresses this very issue by rethinking international training and creating sustainable prospects.
“Art, culture and business thrive on talented people – but they also need the right framework conditions. Talentsbridge e.V. creates new opportunities for skilled workers and companies alike.”
