The acute shortage of skilled workers on the labor market is also giving the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce a new approach. In Berlin’s twin city Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, young Africans will be trained and then brought to the Spree. For this purpose, a training center is being built in Windhoek under the technical management of the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce, which, in parallel with vocational training, also teaches and tests relevant German language skills according to Chamber of Industry and Commerce standards. The project was initiated by Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Sebastian Stietzel during a visit to Namibia in the summer.
